Son Time

My son moved back to Augusta after living up New York way for the past ten years and I can tell you it does a father good to have his son back after all that time. We can't get those years back but we are making up for lost time. The last week in May Laurie and I spent a week at Lanebook (Augusta) and I had a grand time. Each morning me and Frankie (son) would sit on the porch with a cup of java and Bibles in hand. Part of our time was listening to Charles Stanley on I-tunes and talking. It was a great way to start the day. On Wednesday of that week we took a little hike on the Augusta Canal. We weren't the only people out there. There were joggers and bike riders and those simply out for a walk. The time spent together was enjoyable. We also saw a snake sunbathing. Due to some foot issues over the past few years my hiking days have been short and this day was no different. We walked about three miles which was a good day for me and it was helpful having a walking buddy. I look to doing more hiking as my foot improves.

These pictures were taken during our walk on the Augusta Canal. A day I will treasure for many a time to come.
