Frank's Journey came into existence as a way to journal about the things I enjoy doing. I am a Disciple, Teacher, Servant and follower of Jesus Christ. As a devoted husband and father, I strive to lead as I am commanded in Ephesians 5:[25] Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, [26] that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, [27] so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. [28] In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. [29] For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church,Having grown up as an Army Brat I find change comes easy to me. I lived in Germany for nine years and attended seventeen different schools from the first grade to the twelfth. This proved to be beneficial in my adult years as I began to develop my direction in life both personal and professionally. My love of history is a result of the many travels in my life. One unique aspect of loving history is when I became a Christian at twenty-eight years of age my love of history began including church history. I am intrigued by the early church as it developed its doctrine. These first and second generation christian leaders were taught directly from the Apostles and passed these teachings to later believers. This same teaching has been passed to me to be given to others.
Another great joy is hiking and camping. This has been with me since a child. When I was nine years old my family spend two weeks camping in places from the alps to lower Italy.
At the age of fourteen we packed up and spent two-weeks camping along a route from Texas and New Mexico. At age seventeen, me and a friend put out our tumb's and hitch-hiked around Southern Germany for a week by setting up camp in the woods. As an adult I began having problems with my knees and hiking and camping became less frequent. I was not able to do this one joy in my life. Along came medical science and the replacement of both knees and the ability to once again hike and camp. Laurie and I try at least once a year to make it to the wonderful mountains in Western North Carolina where we spent our honeymoon.
Frank's Journey is a venue for expressing my thoughts on spiritual matters as well as my travels in life.
