Isaiah 45:18
For this is what the Lord says- God is the Creator of the heavens. He formed the earth and made it. He established it; He did not create it to be empty,
[but] formed it to be inhabited- "I am the Lord, and there is no other.
[but] formed it to be inhabited- "I am the Lord, and there is no other.

Monotheism is the belief in the one and only true God, who made both heaven and earth and all mankind. Every aspect of this creation was made perfect, from the planets in the heavens to the creatures in the sea. All was perfection and for the pleasure of the Creator. In this creation God also formed the highest aspect of His Creation, man. In this God was most pleased for man was created in His image. God being both transcendent (existence apart from His creation) and immanent (divine presence), created earth to be His dwelling place for God dwells among men. He did not create then abandon this world as many choose to believe. His presence is felt continually in those whom are called to be the elect.
The magnificent aspect of the creation is the fact that God spoke and it came to be. For example: And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light (Genesis 1:3). This signals the absolute power of God by the fact that all He has to do is speak and things are created. You can see this time and again in chapter 1 of Genesis; God speaks and it comes to pass.
It is in Genesis 1:26 we see the first time the Trinity is spoken of when God says, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness. In Abstract of Systematic Theology written by James P. Boyce, D.D., LL.D he says of the Trinity in Chapter 14: “God is revealed to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence or being.” One God with three natures is revealed.
1. Do you see that the same God who created this vast Universe is the same Father who loves you and pursues you?
2. Do you see that the same power that created all the stars in the Heavens, and raised Jesus from the grave, is the same power that will regenerate your heart through faith in Jesus, who is the Messiah?
3. Are you willing to be a slave to the one whose voice spoke and all there is came into being and live a life holy and dedicated to God as He has given you the power to do through the Holy Spirit?
Prayer
My Father, I see how in your vast power you spoke and the heavens came to be. Yet, within this same power that holds the universe in one hand, in the other hand you hold me. I know you love me and created me to worship you. I pray you may be pleased with my worship as I give you my mind, body and soul.
Thought for Today
It cost God nothing, so far as we know, to create nice things: but to convert rebellious wills cost Him crucifixion.
