Blessings From God Even When Doing An Unpleasant Task

During the week of January 18 (Monday) to January 24 (Sunday) I began a process very few of us enjoy doing. Moving from one apartment to another. Each evening after work I would load up my car and make at least two trips. I did this each night until Friday. By Friday my back was sore because of BOOKS! I love to read and do research. To do this I am always adding to my library. Those books had to be moved one box at a time.
I asked a group of men from church to help me move my large items. These were items like washer and dryer, bedroom furniture, and living room furniture. I told them I would have all the small items removed and it wouldn't take more than two hours to load the large furnishings and take them to my new apartment. I wanted to get started at 9:30 Saturday morning in order to finish before noon. These guys were fantastic. They showed up by 9:30 loaded their trucks drove to my new apartment and had everything unloaded and in its place by 10:10. I was amazed it took them only 40 minutes. They did all this without me lifting a finger. All they wanted me to do was tell them where I wanted the furniture placed.
After the job was finished we had a moment of prayer to bless my new apartment and I thanked God for these men. After they left I sat down and thought about how wonderful this move had been. Even while doing an unpleasant and tiring task like moving one can see God at work. I thought, how blessed I am. These men from First Baptist Church, Brunswick Georgia know the meaning of service. They helped with my move thus showing their service to God. How wonderful it is to be a Christian and member of a church that is alive. The love of Christ is evident by the service those men do everyday for our Lord.
Thank you God for men willing to live their faith in their walk and for the plan you have for me at this new apartment.
